Singapore Airlines Is Sending The Airbus A350 To Hyderabad

Starting October 30, Singapore Airlines will operate between Hyderabad and Singapore, with A350 flights on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Singapore Airlines (SQ) announced on Friday the introduction of its Airbus 350-900 medium-haul widebody aircraft into service from Hyderabad to Singapore every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Singapore Airlines has announced that they will commence widebody Airbus 350-900 services between Hyderabad and Singapore starting October 30. The airline already operates this route daily, using its narrowbody Boeing 737-8. Sy Yen Chen, General Manager India for Singapore Airlines, commented:

"We are delighted to enhance our services to Hyderabad with our wide-body A350 aircraft. This is a significant milestone for us as it reinforces our commitment to the market, more so after SilkAir's integration with Singapore Airlines a year ago''

From October 30, Singapore Airlines will re-establish 100 % of its pre-pandemic frequency from the nation of India and will operate 96 flights weekly from eight cities across the country.

The airline has an extensive network throughout India and neighboring countries with operations on both Singapore Airlines (SQ - in blue) and its low-cost offshoot Scoot (TR - in yellow).

This is not the first time this year Singapore Airlines has announced service increases to the country of 1.38 billion, with Singapore Airlines already double downing on its operations to southern India. Sy Yen Chen, General Manager India for Singapore Airlines commented:

The A350-900 aircraft now scheduled to operate on the route will treat passengers to an enhanced travel experience, as the aircraft is designed with higher ceilings, larger windows, and an extra widebody delivering more space and comfort onboard, in addition to special lighting designed to reduce the effects of jetlag.

Business class travelers are treated to a 76″ fully-flat bed, adjustable lighting intensity, and a personal 17” full high-definition touchscreen monitor.

For those traveling in Economy, ergonomically designed and six-way, adjustable headrest seats with an 11.6” touchscreen monitor will accompany you across the Bay of Bengal during your fight.

The aircraft is also fitted with an in-flight entertainment system offering a selection of more than 1,800 movies, TV shows, audio programs, and games. In addition, customers will have access to high-speed in-flight WiFi service.

Speaking shortly after the announcement of SIA’s intent of A350-900 operations, Mr Pradeep Panicker, CEO, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd commented:

The inaugural flight of the new aircraft will depart from Hyderabad International Airport as SQ523 at 2310 hrs on October 30.
