The Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) revealed a list of Set Top Boxes (STB) supporting certified digital TV broadcasts into 17 types out of 10 brands, which was originally only 13 types out of 10 brands.The announcement of the list of STB equipment by the Ministry of Communication and Information is carried out as part of the migration program to digital TV which will be launched by the government starting next year.The program called Analog-Switch-Off (ASO) is said to provide a better viewing experience because the picture and sound produced is clearer than analog TV, and the picture resolution can even reach 4K quality.The government plans to inject analog TV broadcasts early next year.There are three stages of analog TV lethal injection, namely:Stage 1 no later than 30 April 2022 Stage 2 no later than 25 August 2022 Stage 3 no later than 2 November 2022In the first stage, Kominfo has disclosed several areas that are included in the ASO stage I, namely:Aceh Province, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Jambi, South Sumatra, Bengkulu, Lampung, Bangka Belitung Islands and Riau Islands, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Banten, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, West Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Sulawesi.
