Customers of the O2 TV service will be able to experience a more powerful version of the set-top box from August.The operator O2 promises improved functions, voice control and an illuminated controller for the new receiver operating on the basis of the Android TV operating system.The price of the box will be the same as for the previous model, i.e. 4140 crowns, it will also be possible to obtain it in the form of monthly installments of 69 crowns.For each receiver, the customer will receive a monthly O2 TV Zlatá tariff.The new set-top box brings the functions and features of a home multimedia center to clients.It will offer HD and 4K resolution as well as support for HDR technology, i.e. high dynamic range, for better color depth and contrast.Thanks to Bluetooth, it is possible to connect wireless headphones, a gamepad, a keyboard and a mouse to the O2 TV box, if the customer uses the set-top box, for example, to play games.Thanks to Android TV, hundreds of applications can be downloaded to the receiver."Thanks to the Android TV system, the new O2 TV box will offer voice search and control, so you can easily see the weather, play a movie or search for anything on maps with just a verbal command.The new set-top box also has a built-in Chromecast, which can simply mirror a phone or tablet, so customers will be able to comfortably view photos and videos on the big screen," said Dana Tomášková, head of O2 TV.The O2 TV set-top box can be supplemented with a hard drive or USB flash drive.The receiver itself connects to the Internet using a LAN cable or wirelessly via a Wi-Fi network.The remote control will also undergo fundamental changes – its buttons will now be backlit."It's a small thing, but for many customers it will be the answer to their wishes.The controller itself recognizes that it is dark, and when someone picks it up, it automatically lights up," Tomášková added.As of this month, the operator O2 Czech Republic stopped watching its channels O2 TV Sport, O2 TV Football and O2 TV Tennis in the HbbTV environment.From June 1, customers will find the largest IPTV platform on the market, O2 TV services, thematic stations of the Nova media group in leading program positions.In the course of today, erotic channels should also be made available to customers of the O2 TV platform IPTV on mobile devices.The operator drew attention to the news in a press release today.Cookies Personal data Terms of use English
